Attendance has a direct impact on your child’s education. There is a close correlation between the amount of time your child attends school and the progress they make. It is extremely important that your child arrives at school on time fully prepared to start their school day. It is imperative that your child’s attendance does not fall below 96% of the school year. Whenever possible please make medical appointments outside of school hours, as any time missed can be detrimental to teaching and learning. Children with excellent punctuality will receive termly certificates.
It is equally important that your child is collected on time at the end of the school day, or after their extra-curricular activities. If you are running late or have arranged for an alternative carer to collect your child please contact the school immediately.
All attendance and punctuality must be recorded by law and can be investigated by the Barnet Educational Welfare Officer or Social Services.
Thank you for your support in ensuring your child has the best possible educational opportunities.
