Year 1 got the opportunity to meet some modern day superheroes when the local fire brigade came to visit and teach them all about fire safety. The firemen came into the class to give a really informative and important talk about how to keep safe if there is ever a fire and showed us all how to keep ourselves safe. They then explained what they do in their jobs on a day to day basis and showed the class all the different parts of their fire engine. The children even got the opportunity to become real life firefighters and have a go at using the hose to get rid of a pretend fire. Well done Year 1!
