As part of their learning all about the ‘Bright Lights Big City’ London Town Year 1 got the opportunity to go sightseeing by the Southbank. It was amazing to see some of the buildings and landmarks we have been learning about. We saw the River Thames, the London Eye, Big Ben and The Houses of Parliament.
The class was then treated to an amazing tour of Shrek’s Adventure where we got to meet all of the characters and even get to go on a magical bus ride to Far Far Away! The children were being chased by mean old Rumpelstiltskin but with the help of Shrek, Gingy, Puss in Boots and many more we were able to escape.
After lunch the children then got to take part in a fantastic writing workshop where we looked at sequencing the events of our day so far and sorting out who were the heroes and villains of the day.
