Year 3 had a fantastic time learning all about life in the Stone Age to Iron Age with a fantastic trip to Gunnersbury Park Museum. The class got the opportunity to explore and experience life in Stone Age Britain through outdoor learning, to understand the importance of nature for human survival, and to discover why changes occurred to Stone Age people’s lifestyles and technology over time.
We were able to handle some amazing artefacts – including a part of a mammoths tooth! The children then put their learning to action by building shelters and hunting some ‘wild boars’ roaming the grounds.
It was a fantastic day and was a perfect opportunity to celebrate the children’s learning and knowledge of the topic.
