Year 4 Trip to London Mithraeum

As part of their Warrior topic Year 4 had a fascinating trip to the London Mithraeum to deepen their learning about the Romans. They stepped back in time to explore the remains of the ancient Roman temple dedicated to Mithras, experiencing what life in Roman Londinium might have been like nearly 2,000 years ago. Pupils were amazed by the reconstructed temple, original artefacts, and immersive displays, which helped bring their classroom studies to life. The visit sparked lots of curiosity and inspired thoughtful discussions about Roman religion, daily life, and the lasting impact of the Romans on London today.

The children loved the opportunity to handle real life Roman artifacts and become archaeologists!
