The Year 5 and 6 Boys football team took part in a great Barnet 6 a side tournament where they once again showed how great a team they are and the importance of working together as a team. On arrival it was obvious from looking at the other sides that this would be a really competitive tournament and the team would really need to work together to get anything out of the day.
The team formed a brilliant Year 6 defence/ Year 5 attack formation and this combination truly paid off with two great victories after their first two games. A goalless draw and a loss in their last group game was more than enough to get through to the knock out stages of the tournament.
However in the quarter final the team found themselves beaten by a very good Akiva side 2 – 0. The team did not let their heads go down and refused to complain when decision did not go their way and can go away with their heads very much held high. Well done boys!
