Year 5 and 6 Maths Club visit to British Museum

A selection of the Year 5 and 6 maths group children got the opportunity to go the British Museum to take part in their maths challenge. The challenges were designed to focus on developing students’ mathematical thinking by using key processes and applying a variety of mathematical concepts to unfamiliar challenges. The children got the opportunity to explore maths challenges around focused on the Egyptians, Romans, Babylonian and Ancient Chinese cultures.

The group were amazingly as a team and although the challenges were hard, we conquered them all. We found the most challenging the Chinese tangram puzzle.
