Year 5 did some amazing field work at TTA We R grow to help their topic ‘Allotment’. We R Grow are an Agroecological Farm and Outdoor Learning Hub. They believe in food justice and the right to a sustainable way of life for all. The children learnt to grow vegetables, fruits, and flowers for their partner school, The Totteridge Academy (TTA), local schools, and our local community.
The class got the chance to learn how they are creating a model for how schools & farms can work together to create resilient local food systems, enhance learning and well-being, reach meaningful sustainability goals, and strengthen community.
