Year 6 had a splendid day at the Natural History Museum in South Kensington as part of their topic on dinosaurs. The children got to explore different parts of the museum where they got to see a extremely informative exhibition on Pangea and the way in which our modern world came to be.
The class then got to play the role of Palaeontologists in a fantastic workshop run by the museum. Each group were given a different dinosaurs skull that they had to excavate and identify by measuring and comparing the features of their fossil to their information sheet. The children loved getting hands on with the fossils and shared some great knowledge and scientific vocabulary. Well done!
