Year 6 Trip to the RAF Museum

As part of their learning all about World War 2 for their ‘Britain at War’ topic, Year 6 got to take part in a brilliant hands on workshop at the Royal Air Force Museum in Hendon.

The children were able to explore the hangars and see the kind of weaponry and vehicles that we used by the RAF and the Luftwaffe during the Battle of Britain. The class also took part in a great workshop where the children got to handle primary sources of information including gas masks and uniforms that were worn by soldiers.

Year 6 were wonderfully well behaved and great role models for the rest of the school.
