As part of their learning the Nursery and Reception class went to ‘The Toy Project’ to see all different toys from the past and present. Each child was able to pick a cuddly to save and create a wonderful piece of artwork based on their new toy. It was a great experience.
Autumn 2
This project explores the differences in the world at night compared to during the day. It teaches children about the importance of a good night’s sleep, and helps them to discover what is happening in the world while they are sleeping, including finding out about nocturnal animals.

Reception started the year looking at ‘How I am Special.’ A topic all about them. They explored what made them special, made mosaics of themselves and described members of their families. They also did lots of talking about their interests and things they enjoy in school and at home. Click the link below to see the overview of the topic and see all areas of the curriculum covered.
